Two Things I Didn’t Get For Four-Twenty This Year!

I wanted to write about 4/20 and the flowers that I’ve been savoring as of late, but my other life in the craft cannabis beverage business in New York State got in the way. For those who don’t know, I’m the master mixologist and co-founder of Drinkklaus.com. We have created the LA High Spirits, Gold Medal Winning Hash Rosin infused, Terpene Forward craft cocktails that are being manufactured and distributed around New York State by Veterans Choice Creations. The responsibility of training and introducing the beverages is rather time-consuming, so with the risk of sounding trite, I apologize for not staying on task and writing this review about two products that caught my eye.

Some flowers that I’ve discovered lately should come as no surprise, especially since I have been smoking mostly New York State-grown flowers, and I’ve found them to be really good. I was fortunate to taste some really amazing nugs from Montana. Montana? Yes, perfectly cured, and they got me really lit up! The strains evade my memory, but the grower was Lionheart Cannabis. They are growing amazing flowers out there near Yellowstone Park.

My New Mexico flowers from last November are long gone and the stuff I just got recently is hopefully being re-hydrated with humidity. They will take a while to come back to life, so I won’t be covering them in this article. They were really dried out and unfortunately not making the cut.

A Golden State, the ultra high end grower, located out in Redding, California is growing consistently amazing flowers that charm my intellect. Each time I enjoy their wares the entire experience gives me amazing feelings of ambition. That’s what got me started on this article in the first place. Well, not really.

What lit the fire of article ideas was this art-covered rolling tray. I struggle with keeping a neat and clean workspace, but the rolling tray that I received recently is really a thing of rare beauty. Not only for the fun and unique artwork, but the magnetic cover that simply makes a sometimes dangerous (if you are like me and spill the flowers on the floor trick) or just inconvenient… nowhere to put your fine flowers once ground, before rolling up another one. The ZZZ Collective is building an artist-driven tableau of cannabis-driven accoutrements for creativity. And what about those Sloth-themed rolling papers? Marvelous indeed, I adore the little creatures. They make rolling a joint fun, even if you are like me, having the joint rolling skills of a small soap dish! https://zzzs.art/

But getting back to A Golden State, which I fully believe is growing some of the finest flowers in the California flower industry. I was fortunate to sample the Palo Cedro strain. A Hybrid variety comprised of Tahoe OG and Permanent Marker. This strain is fueled by a deep interest in my tasting notes, which reveal tastes of citrus, gas, earth, and intrinsic passion.

The next strain I sampled was my “last of the day strain,” Moonbeam. This evocative strain was my favorite strain from a couple of years ago, when circumstance and place in the universe went a little bit slower. Moonbeam revitalizes this “take it way back, back into time” for me. Each draw from the perfectly prepared tiny joints actually brings a tear to my eyes. Why is that? Well, I cannot explain, but sometimes cannabis is exemplified in a way that is both very personal and potent to my memories. As far as a sleep curative, Moonbeam is the stuff that my lucid dreams are made of. Moonbeam in a joint is earthy, pragmatic, potent, tinged with stone fruit butter, graham crumbs, and sour petrol notes. The artists at A Golden State have done a masterful job unleashing the sleep gene. And that for me is no more than touching my cheek on the pillow, and it’s suddenly a good morning! Moonbeam is truly a success story, one puff at a time. And for bringing back memories?

It’s priceless to me.

Lastly, the Golden State makes a second line. It’s no less potent and Phases line offers me their Sativa Flower, which is called Blueberry Parfait. What a great name! Truly the flavors of Maine wild blueberries, woven into rivulets of Blueberry Runtz and the popular strain known as Apples & Bananas… a revolution for the senses and the reason for my effortless writing this afternoon.
The only thing I’m sad or perhaps mad about is that I don’t usually have the opportunity to enjoy cannabis of this quality, but when I do, the words just flow, because cannabis speeds my brain to weave words and articles worthy of your time.

Finding A Golden State? Get yourself to California. This is gourmet cannabis worth the price in every puff. Quality and passion, the art of the grower and the curing skills that resemble to me, the paintings of Michelangelo. Brilliance.

Thank you. WB
