This one is a very special KOS variety. Particularly suited for breeders and clone hunters that are seasoned. The G13 Haze was originally hybridized by Soma over 2 decades ago. Kingdom Organic Seeds has inbred this old school hybrid to the F3 generation. The G13 Haze F3 offers some very serious recombinations that will certainly blow your mind. Let’s give her a little looksee, shall we?

The Rundown—G13 Haze F3 Overview

Out of 10—G13 Haze f3—seeds I got 9 healthy sprouts. Of these sprouts, 5 were female and 4 were male. 1 of the 5 females was a true hermaphrodite (not a “banana thrower”) expressing male and female flowers out of the gate the first 2 weeks of flowering. It’s not surprising at all, since this original hybrid was made using an old-world Haze (and the G13). The G13 has unknown “Frankenstein” type lineage, in my opinion. All the females are very vigorous and hearty. The hermaphrodite had a different morphology somewhat, and had axial branch growth above and beyond its siblings and also started flowering faster than the others. Like a super-version of itself.

The f3s are pretty bulletproof, all the females just jammed along while getting hit with high heat during flowering. These are a breeder’s dream come true if you loves you some weirdo x SEA (South East Asian) genetics yessir! The phenos differ a bit regarding morphology and P1-like dominant expressions. I have taller very “Hazy” looking females with 13 blade leaves, and shorter, stouter phenotypes with 5 or 7 blade leaves—ya follow? The two things they all have in common are large yields/buds, and massive resin production; not to mention very stinky.

I’m familiar with Haze (in general), for sure, but the G13 was most def a weirdo that I knew nothing about previously. Now let me tell you how these came to be mine…

G13 Haze F2s, The Originals

I have had about 8 of these original seeds saved for over 25 years now that are F2s of Soma’s original G13 Haze. I am fairly certain—LoL—I got them from an old buddy (Roz) up in the Great White North. He liked to inbreed (F2) killer genetics, and he did a good job of it too from my experience with him. Looks like another great job here by Roz with these G13 Haze F2s I used for this run. Now, I only got like 4 plants to pop, and with some serious pure luck I got a male and female that both looked great. 2 of the sprouts were barely viable and I culled them within 2 weeks of sprouting.

I stressed tested the f2 female by flowering her for buds first. I let her go a week too long, and during flowering I drought stressed her twice. She stayed pure female with zero tendency to become hermaphroditic. The f2 male was a beast right from sprouting, so I liked him a lot based on his heavy-duty vigor and heartiness. I stress tested the male to see how “itchy his trigger finger” was regarding flowering, and I kept a 6-inch topped male in a 3.5-inch container for way too long and drought stressed him at the end before transplanting. He threw out zero male flowers, and at this time this plant was 60 days old.

Like I said above, 1 of my 5 (F3) females was a true hermaphrodite. Seasoned growers know when dealing with old world strains like true Haze, or Thai, this is to be expected. Just watch for them early in flowering, they show loud and proud and they are easily culled before they can release any pollen.

The phenotype spread is pretty wide, with some beefy yielding Haze dominant types, so don’t be surprised if one of your very Hazy females may flower a bit longer than 12 weeks. They love heat and are very adaptable, hearty, vigorous, and create LARGE smelly flowers.

This line (indoors) was made for “lollypopping” as far as pruning goes. Lollypopping your plants simply means you are pruning off all the growth about one third to halfway up the plant before flowering begins. The female (f2) put out large and dense dark green buds on the top half of the plant but only had scanter type buds produced below halfway down. I topped the females to about 4 or 6 mains each and that worked very well. I am pretty certain outdoors this wouldn’t be a factor and that my tents just needed more light power to bring them to genetic potential.

The females have a tendency to droop their leaves sometimes, like when temps get a little too hot, immediately after watering, and just a bit before lights-off time. Don’t mistake this for drought stress, overwatering the females pissed them off, so be skilled with your wet dry cycles.

Skills Needed to Grow G13 Haze F3 by KOS

***I do not recommend these for brand new growers, for two main reasons: they go about 11 or 12 weeks and newbies can have problems with longer flowering varieties. Also, due to the random hermaphrodite (hermie) that may show up. You have to know at least enough to be able to spot a hermie before it starts throwing pollen. Easy-peasy, as long as you know the diff between males and females well. This variety, the G13 Haze f3 generation, is prime stock really more suited for skilled breeders and clone hunters alike. All the females are resin factories huge, with hardcore lemony Hazy acrid/dank stank***

Lineage Details of  F2 Parental Selections

Male Breeder(s) Deets: 1 male G13 Haze f2 breeder was used in this cross. He was very SEA (South East Asian) looking in many ways with large flower clusters. He also had a curios trait I have never seen before in all my years growing cannabis. Indoors he shed most of his pollen during the daylight hours of growth and hardly any pollen was manufactured overnight. He was very lemon-O-licious smelling, hearty and vigorous. He possesses very high resin potential and is a tough as nails plant.

Female Breeder(s) Deets: 1 female G13 Haze f2 breeder was used in this cross. She reminds me somewhat of a Warlock, or William’s Wonder in appearance. Sort of a sativa dominant structure filled in with indica looking parts. The buds are very unique not showing a lot of pistils, they are there, they’re just protected—like old school sativas do it. Her calyxes were also very cool, weird, and all elongated. Very high resin production and the buds were also large and very dense. She wreaked with diesel fuel and sharp lemon citrus and had very high resin production.

Smoking G13 Haze F3 with Rev

Smoking hash made from various f3 plants was a fun as hell mission. All my females were deadly potent, and were at once extremely intense, but zero edginess to them for me. She is a very dreamy and happy high-type with a big ol’ spacy Thai like SEA (South East Asian) influence. Long legs lasting several hours at full power, then tapering down for another hour or so. This herb will also make you “slightly stupid” so be prepared for that. You may find yourself laughing your ass off at something, then forgetting what was so funny a minute later LoL. If you smoke this right before going to bed some “hangover” effects will linger for sure.

As a rule of thumb, I would glean from my smaller F3 sampling numbers, I would say that the morphology reflects the plant resin. What I mean by that is the plants that look more like a Haze hit you more like a Haze or Thai would. Plants expressing more indica looks are more “thumpers” …as you would expect them to be. All my females yielded very well.
