The company, in concert with leading like-minded non-profits and other industry stakeholders, is seeking to have this richly symbolic date properly designated as an official “National Day of Observance.”

“In a growing society, where roughly 45 million Americans consume cannabis on a monthly basis, we believe that it is high time we celebrate the history and culture that the April 20th can has come to embody,” states CEO/Founder, Andras Kirschner. “This will be an enduring effort, one which will come to include many of the frontline organizations who’ve long been in the legalization trenches. We’re determined to bring added legitimacy to the plant, and what it represents for so many of us.”
The centerpiece of the campaign is the petition hosted by Change.org:

Ultimately, the plan is to generate significant interest and use that momentum to convince lawmakers that April 20th is just as deserving of acknowledgement as “National CBD Day” and “National Hemp Day.”
