Happening on September 8th, in Washington, D.C, the Buyers Club will serve as a vital platform for fostering connections, facilitating business deals, and showcasing the legal cultivators in the industry.
The Buyers Club: Past, Present, and Leadership
The cannabis industry owes its retail beginnings to the San Francisco Cannabis Buyers Club (SFBC), founded in 1992 by Dennis Peron. SFBC was the first dispensary to operate in the United States, creating one of the first safe spaces for caregivers and patients. The private meet-ups cultivated a culture of compassionate care and community support. Present day, the Buyers Club honors the legacy roots of this now-legal industry with a curated experience in Washington, D.C.
The Buyers Club is an invitation-only event, gathering cultivators, dispensary owners, manufacturers, and other licensed business owners under one roof. The event aims to streamline the supply chain, enhance product knowledge, drive industry innovation, and advance the industry through strategic partnerships.
“The Buyers Club is more than just an exclusive networking event; it’s a necessary catalyst for the growth of the DC legal cannabis industry,” says Jamila Hogan, CEO and Curator of The Buyers Club. She continued: “By bringing together the right people in the right setting, we’re creating an environment where meaningful business relationships can flourish, and where the future of the cannabis industry can be shaped.”
What Attendees Can Expect at The Buyers Club Event
Exclusive Access: The event is exclusive to cannabis licensees, impactful social media influencers, and ancillary business owners, ensuring that all participants are serious professionals committed to the industry’s growth and integrity.
