It’s winter in Oregon. A black SUV winds down quiet country roads, kicking up dust between rows of barren orchards under a steel-grey sky. The air outside is sharp with cold, but inside the vehicle, it’s all warmth, grit, and something electric.
Country rock hums from the speakers as stories flow between three legends in the game: Shiloh Massive (@Massive_Creations_1), Cat “Seven” Franklin (@Cat.gg_), and Rick Anstiss (@Mr._Fungi420).
These aren’t casual conversations—they’re tales of bootlegging days, underground legacy, and a culture rarely captured… unless someone’s rolling camera.
The Mission: Capturing Cannabis Culture
So, what’s Esttech Inc. doing out here with these icons? The mission is clear: travel across Oregon, visit cultivators who are changing the game, and capture their stories for a new documentary series called THE HIGHLIGHT SERIES.
This isn’t just cannabis culture. It’s heritage. Hustle. And history in the making.
Since the beginning, growers have found ways to overcome obstacles—whether imposed by nature or by man—to cultivate the sacred plant. For decades, High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights were the standard.
Over the last decade, LED technology has rapidly transformed the industry. With greater energy efficiency, higher potency, and stronger yields, LEDs are no trend—they’re the future of cultivation.
Esttech Inc. has taken LED tech a step further with its patented lensed design. Rooted in culture and committed to craft, the company developed a Warm White Light Spectrum that mirrors the sun—reminiscent of the trusted HPS glow.
The result? Even tradition-bound cultivators are giving it a shot.
It was time to return to the roots—to the hands that shape the canopy. The cultivators: the true foundation of the industry and the soul of the culture.
The Journey Begins: Rolen Stone Farm
The journey began in the southern part of the state, where the crew visited Rolen Stone. The farm had just completed a full retrofit, replacing HPS lights with Esttech LEDs.
Tyler, the owner, testified that “the growth has been great,” and plants were “stacking like a good summer run.” He spoke highly of his experience—from hearing about Esttech through friends to the smooth purchasing, setup, and rebate support.
Esttech helps cultivators tap into rebate programs that can cover a significant portion—or even 100%—of their lighting costs. While the process can feel tedious, Esttech makes it seamless so growers can focus on their craft.
Off camera, Rolen Stone shared their growing techniques—literally and figuratively. Between puffs and laughter, the crew got a glimpse into their world. Their spirit and unity radiate through their plants—one of the secret ingredients to growing great ganja.
Dirty Arm Farms: Organic Dedication
The team continued into the quiet charm of Ashland to visit Dirty Arm Farms. For over 25 years, Dirty Arm has been growing “die-hard organic” cannabis using greenhouse and full-sun methods.
They made the switch to Esttech LEDs to flower year-round. With Esttech’s High Bay lights, they no longer rely on Oregon’s inconsistent winter sunlight. Though this is their first run with Esttech, the decision was backed by trust: “All my friends swore by them,” the grower said.
Dirty Arm is also a rebate success story—Esttech personally guided them through the process, which the farm described as “hand holding.” For Esttech, it’s simply part of the commitment to ensuring every cultivator has a seemless transition to advanced lighting.
While every grower has their own approach, Dirty Arm stands out for its unwavering dedication to organic methods and willingness to stay hands-on through every step of the process. Their fans know: the care and craft behind each harvest is unmistakable.
That night wrapped with sushi and a soak in a lithium hot spring resort. Shiloh Massive and content producer Know-Madik promised a freestyle rap for the camera—but with an early morning ahead, the performance was postponed. Word to the wise: the freestyle is still owed.
Ebb and Flow Farm: Women-Led Innovation
Day two started at Ebb and Flow Farm, also in Ashland. Known for its women-owned team and regenerative organic practices.
Before filming, the Esttech team spoke with Amy, who revealed that one of their top strains was Gorilla Glue #4—poetically fitting, as Cat “Seven” Franklin is one of its original founders.
Amy shared that Ebb and Flow has been using Esttech lighting for about a year. The results? “Night and day.” She noted improved vegetative growth, especially during winter. In flowering, after dialing in the system, they found the sweet spot: 80–100% power, two feet above the canopy. The flowers “chunked up quite a bit,” with better yield, and the terps were “on point.”
The Esttech team—cannabis connoisseurs themselves—were impressed. The aroma of each strain was a living testament to the care, skill, and precision behind the grow.

Terra Australis and Doghouse: The Evolution of Expertise
After a night in Portland, the crew headed to Dallas, Oregon, where they visited Terra Australis and met David Todd—also the consultant for their next stop, Doghouse.
Terra Australis looked like a storybook scene, but behind the misty charm was a serious operation.
David has run Esttech lights for about five years and continues choosing them for every new room. “Their designs consider the limitations of how an LED operates,” he said. After researching, Esttech earned his trust because he can’t risk a “light that fails [when] they’re [not designed to be] protected from the elements.”
For high-ceiling rooms, he uses Esttech’s High Bay lights. When space is tight, he goes with the Halo. And one of his top reasons for sticking with Esttech is their patented Lensed Technology. The deeper light penetration and reduced PPFD drop-off are essential to achieving a marketable yield.
The team toured Terra Australis’ vibrant facility, including the trim room run by David’s mom. Each flower is hand-trimmed and stored in a temperature-controlled space. The smell? Phenomenal. The quality? Unmistakable. Their level of care clearly fuels the demand.
David later brought the crew to a local winery for a breather, then on to Doghouse in Monmouth. There, Doghouse founder Jon Hudnall joined David to share insights and walk through the facility.
Jon, a respected multistate operator, continues to run Esttech lights after years of positive results—even from the brand’s earliest models. He also values his partnership with David, who modestly calls himself a “nerd” for only having ever grown weed “legally.” Their synergy—where legacy meets technical precision—elevates Doghouse.
Under Canopy: The Next Leap
Doghouse is expanding, with another facility in the works. When it came to lighting, there was no question—Esttech was the clear choice. With trust in Doghouse’s professionalism, Esttech selected them to beta test the new Under Canopy Lights, currently in pre-sale and launching April 2025.
So far, results have been promising. David explained that the lights are perfect for growers looking for “an overall more robust plant [and] better smoking product.” He’s seen more resin-rich plants since installing them and believes they’re ideal for those “already on top of their game,” seeking that “quantum leap” without reconstruction.
Elysian Winds: A Model of Consistency
The tour wrapped with a visit to Esttech’s headquarters in Vancouver, Washington before heading back to Portland to visit Elysian Winds—run by Scott, a longtime cultivator with nearly five years of experience using Esttech.
Elysian Winds, housed in a striking red barn, runs a meticulous operation. Their harvests are consistently spoken for before trimming. Esttech lights hang above every canopy, helping deliver consistent, top-shelf flower.
Scott told Rick Anstiss that switching to LED brought a 27% drop in energy use—even after expanding the facility. He has no regrets: “way better” harvests, “more frost, more color—more depth of color,” and yields just as strong.
As a family-run farm, he values the lights’ reliability and says, “these lights can do it all.”
The Future of Cultivation
With legends like Shiloh Massive, Cat “Seven” Franklin, and Rick Anstiss riding along—each respected voices in the game—it speaks volumes that they’re proud to be part of the Esttech crew. Their belief in the product is a testament to the quality and culture Esttech continues to build.
Throughout the Oregon Tour, the Esttech team connected with some of the region’s respected cultivators—Tyler of Rolen Stone, Amy of Ebb and Flow Farm, David from Terra Australis and Doghouse, Jon, founder of Doghouse, and Scott at Elysian Winds.
From legacy knowledge to next-gen operations, each stop revealed a distinct perspective on the craft of cultivation.
THE HIGHLIGHT SERIES brings these stories to life, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, unfiltered voices, and real-world expertise. It’s a tribute to the people who make this community thrive.
Esttech Inc. stands with cultivators—not just as a lighting company, but as a partner who understands the value, grit, and passion behind every harvest.
Because at the end of the day, it’s the cultivators who light up the culture—and Esttech is here to keep them shining.
