And I purchased (about 25 years ago in 2000) an olden Peak 19/AK47 (affectionately called 1947 from the Wayback Machine’s CBay.) This cross resulted in some of the most powerful effects possessing both shear potency and a high order of intensity. Most of the medium and taller phenotypes will also possess the ability for myself and others, to calm down muscle spasms caused by nerve damage.
Some phenotypes will naturally have a lighter green color to them overall, so this isn’t a problem it’s a feature, and these phenos turn out some seriously wicked exotic looking buds 😉
At least 1/3rd of the females will be larger size, and the morphology overall spans a pretty wide range. About 1 out of 4 females will be of a somewhat smaller size.
The flavors and smells are a bit on the subtle side but wonderful berries and blond hash/Honey Oil elements are present in the smells and flavors. She is fairly easy to grow but does not tolerate overwatering well when growing in soil, and she works well topped or not. Really a sweetheart here.

The Rundown—Hierarchy Etc.
Male P1 Breeder(s) Deets: 1 superior male of Blue Rhino, circa 1999 from Irish Rose Seeds, via my friend Jay. The Blue Rhino was one of my favorites, way-back-when, and I wish I still had some today. The Blue Rhino was a hammer of relaxation without being actually sleepy-time weeds. Happy, stupid, and very fun.
Female P1 Breeder(s) Deets: 1 female of Peak 19/AK47 “1947” was used in this cross. I called this female “The Reptile” because her SEA (South East Asian) lineage was apparent in her gator-like leaves. She was extremely potent and pretty much smelled and tasted like blonde hashish/honey oil. It was very expanding weeds and it was super hard to hold in even a fairly small hit. Very intense weed.
Growing Information
GROWER: The Rev
The BR1947 is pretty easy to grow. Just don’t overwater her and you’ll be fine.
Please do not sprout these on a 24/0 photoperiod and KOS recommends 16/8 for sprouting and until 30 days old. Then switch to 18/6. Alternately…
Using a flowering photoperiod of 12/12 on sprouts for their first 10 days above ground, then switching them to an 18/6 photoperiod will allow you to easily sex them at 30 days of age—give or take 3 days.
Always allow plants to get at least 55 days old from sprouting, before starting to flower for maximum resin production. Plants grown from seed work much better outdoors in the ground than clones do. Alternately, clones work much better in containers than plants from seeds do. Sprout seeds in ambient temps of 75 – 85 deg. F. Obviously KOS always recommends organically growing our gear in living soil for the full appreciation of smells and flavors, among many other reasons—cheers!

Afterword Smoking with Rev
All the phenotypes basically share a common high-type with some variations regarding intensity. Some of the phenos, like the taller ones with longer colas, hit you really hard out of the gate, and fast. Whenever I smoke a Blue Rhino 1947 doobie, I almost always “forget” to smoke the second half of the doobie and invariably find it has gone out between my fingers some time ago, LoL.

This is the kind of weed that pastes a big goofy smile on your face and takes you for an awesome happy ride. I wouldn’t recommend operating heavy machinery while under her influence and a little bit goes a long way. I think her flavors are wonderful. A very berry dominant flavor spectrum with a wonderful blonde hashish on the exhale. Her flavors (and smells) are not uber pronounced, but supremely elegant, I think.
All the medium and larger phenotypes (per my sampling data) possess a very unique quality indeed. It seems to me to suppress spasms caused my nerve damage in my leg. These spasms cause me pain, so in effect the BR1947 works as a true painkiller for me. I have also heard from several other peeps regarding this facet and it has helps them as well with nerve damage type spasm pain.

- REvski 😊

I'm The Rev, and I have been with SKUNK for well over a decade now. I hail from Southern California, spent mucho time in Northern California, and now reside in Southern Oregon; always coastal. I am an all natural style cannabis grower and I have written a few books on the subject - check out True Living Organics, Druid’s Edition on Amazon - I have been growing for over 50 years, and I have been breeding cannabis for over 30 years. Check out JBC Seeds to see some exotic KOS selections. Growing connoisseur cannabis is what I teach mostly, growing it in living soil without using liquid organic nutrients to feed the plant. I am also a highly skilled synthetics grower, hydroponics, aeroponics, DWC/SWC/NFT, Ebb and Flow, and soilless, but I cringe when smoking synthetic grown herbs, so for the last 20 years or so I preach the artisan style of all natural growing, specializing in container growing. Cheers and welcome aboard.
