After taking the show on the road for the past few years to Oklahoma City, St Louis, and Chicago- we couldn’t be more excited to produce Cannifest back where it all began in 2015- Humboldt! By partnering with the City of Eureka, this event will take over the Halvorsen Park Waterfront for a full consumption event- the first of its kind in Humboldt!
This 2-day community festival will feature many opportunities for involvement.
We currently have the Headstash Championship happening- a rosin and flower competition that will culminate at the Headstash Gala: Brand Premier and Awards Party on September 8th in Eureka- this invite-only event will offer opportunities for businesses to showcase their brands through stage time- we are encouraging them to bring artists of all types into the mix- to delight the senses and break the corporate mold. Winners will be announced, and over $10k in cash and prizes will be given. We have a rockstar panel of judges – a symbiotic balance of industry and community judges.
Cannifest will be held September 9th and 10th and will feature tried and true events of the past like the Humboldt Grow Games, The Ganja Games, Makers Market, The Community Choice Awards, where we celebrate live painting and functional glass, and the Yes We Cann! Community Parade- which is all-ages and will take place Sunday morning from 10-11 in Old Town Eureka- just before we open the gates for day 2 of Cannifest. The event will include a Healing Zone to highlight world-class practitioners, intentional movement, and the best cannabis in all the land will be found in our Marketplace Lounge.
We also have three stages to supply talks, presentations, and international, national, and local music acts.
Our Influencer of the Year competition is also in full swing- we have gotten several videos from those who are interested in stage time and a booth at Cannifest. This was a fun addition to Cannifest Chicago- and we are excited about its return. Anyone interested can fill out the form at cannifest.com and submit their 2-minute video for consideration. So much fun!
Nonprofits are invited to join in to amplify their mission and businesses of all types to exhibit in our Business Interactive Zone. We will have immersive experiences featuring the historical book series that celebrates our culture ‘chronic freedom’ by Scott Holmquist. We are celebrating the culture and shining the light on the strength we have in numbers through networking opportunities, collaboration, and a safe space to celebrate this beautiful plant. This event offers many points of access for businesses and brands to showcase the hard work and dedication they have poured into their work over the years. This is a celebration of all and a space to learn and listen.
As a giveback, we are again partnering with Conscious Alliance, The Ink People, and Community Pride and Peace to build the giveback into the model from the start. We are also excited to raise funds for the Mateel Community Center at Cannifest ’23.
We are proud of the many elements at Cannifest – and hope to continue providing this community event for decades.
We are also offering 99 free farmer booths to show solidarity with those on the front lines and ask that they tell the story of their farm- to create a connection and prove that we are standing united. So come out, make connections, and walk in the Yes We Cann! Community Parade and stand proud!
We look forward to meeting you at Cannifest on the gorgeous waterfront in September!
