Scott Hammond

Scott Hammond is a seasoned expert in the cannabis industry. He began his journey at the age of 18 in the rich agricultural landscape of Sonoma County. In 2010, he delved into cannabis manufacturing, initially employing solventless techniques before expanding to hydrocarbon extraction in 2012. Over the years, Scott has built and consulted on multiple production facilities, specializing in distillation, BHO, and solventless methods. During his college years, Scott partnered with Plant Your Root, a soil company Kind and Oregon Tilth Certified, reflecting his commitment to sustainable practices. It was during this time that he immersed himself in JADAM and KNF practices and ferments, enhancing his expertise in regenerative agriculture. After earning a degree in economics, Scott pursued a career in cannabis cultivation and consulting. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to partner with William Clarno, and together they approached his brother about expanding the award-winning Kalya brand, which had been established in California since 2019, to Oregon. Since its successful launch in 2022, Kalya Oregon has been a driving force in the Oregon recreational market, continually advocating for sustainable practices, innovative cultivation methods and the pursuit of perfection within their craft
