Lena Burns
As a Hashishin, Lena Burns grew from a small, humble medicinal grower to eventually becoming apprentice to the late Master Hashishin Frenchy Cannoli. Additionally, she has become a taste producer and Certified Ganjier. Her deep relationship with the cannabis plant began in Southern California 13 years ago when her stepfather introduced her to indoor cultivation. She ran a Cooperative with her mother and stepfather where she learned the importance of efficiency, inventory control, and menu curation. In 2014 Lena began to expand her passion by making hash for the Cooperative’s patient base and quickly became enamored by the process. She attended Frenchy Cannoli’s ‘The Lost Art of the Hashishin’ workshop to improve her hash-making skills. Frenchy’s immense passion was contagious, and the rest is history! It inspired her full dedication to producing the highest quality hash from some of the best cannabis farmers in the world. Lena has since relocated to a remote valley in Humboldt County, where she is working to elevate the splendor that is Sungrown cannabis. She is hunting for unique and optimal hash cultivars alongside legacy farmers and is furthering her connection to terroir. As Lena continually develops her craft, her intent is to highlight the tastes of the region she so adores.
