reserve your ad hereHowdy good peeps. Today I wanted to share with you all one hell of an awesome product, in my opinion and experience. The PAX Plus Flower Vaporizer (can vape oil), a portable vaporizer that has so many good points that you need to have a look-see.
I have been a PAX fan now for like 25 years. I have had every version of this vaporizer that PAX ever made—yup. In a word, I give this little device the AWESOME rating among cannabis tools I have had over my half century being a cannabis grower and enthusiast overall. Let’s check it out…
A Short PAX Story from Rev
Like, 20-plus years ago, a friend of mine gave me an original PAX vaporizer. Yeah, well I never looked back—LoL. These are—extra—awesome for several reasons I will babble to you about. But the first thing I want to do is tell you that if you are a hardcore chronic puffer, the PAX may not be for you. However, if your cannabis consumption is closer to say, even a couple doobies a day, you’ll love this. If you smoke like a ‘weekend warrior’ you’ll love it even more.
My puffing habits are subject to change all the time. Sometimes for months I will puff about 2 or 3 grams per day. Other times, for months I will barely smoke 2 grams in a week. Also, here and there I do “The Purge” where I don’t puff at all for about 30 days. Anyway, enough about me, let’s look at some of the badass qualities of the PAX. I bought my PAX Plus about 4 years ago and it costed me about $200.00, and I think it was worth it.
Talk About Saving Money—and Getting More from Your Weed
Okay then, if we are talking about your personal weed-economy, the PAX Plus is a serious way to keep the cannabis you have longer, because of how efficient the PAX is. You can get much higher for much longer from say, a doobie’s worth of weeds. The bowl of the PAX holds about a normal doobie’s worth of cannabis flower ground or crumbled.
I normally only load up about half a bowl or less and that’s plenty for me, or anyone, without a very high tolerance. That much cannabis will let you puff (vape) away for about 20 minutes—and you will get a LOT out of it too. Once I went for 6 months only using my PAX to vape my flowers. My cannabis consumption was 30% of “normal” for me—that’s huge baybee! So then, if you’re someone that “lives” harvest to harvest, trying to stretch out what you harvested until next harvest and not always pulling it off. Then the PAX Plus is for you. You will literally be amazed by how long your stash will last—3 times longer, yup.
PAX Plus is a Stealthy MoFo
My personal experience with the PAX proved to me just how stealthy this vaporizer is. I have used it while in the middle of groups of peeps, like in front of a pub, or what have you. I have used it indoors plenty where people came in during or right after my vape session and never even thought I had been “smoking” weeds, heh heh. However, there is one caveat here—your breath will reek of weeds. If that is a biggie then bring some gum.
Also, it’s nothing like the vapes you see people using where big clouds of vapor come out of their mouths. The vapor is visible for sure, but still fairly low-profile. This brings up another thing… You are not SMOKING anything. No smoke will happen, only vaporized resin, and when you exhale you may feel at first that “you didn’t get a hit.” Let me assure you, it’s very likely you will find out, you did indeed—when you get wrecked—LoL. So, get used to not blowing out any big, dense clouds of vapor. Don’t expect it to be like smoking, it is not at all.
Maintenance and Charging Stuffs
Remember when I babbled about how if you’re too big of a chronic puffer the PAX may not be for you? Here’s what you need to know about that. The PAX Plus holds like a said, a decent sized doobie. You can burn about 4 of those—for sure 3—before you’ll need to recharge it for about 60 to 90 minutes for a full charge from empty-ish. So, there will be durations of at least 60 to 90 minutes here and there (about every 4th bowl) where you cannot be using it. Plan accordingly if you’re chronic.
It does require a bit of maintenance from time to time. About once every 4 or 6 weeks is really good for pretty chronic folk. Less chronic and she will stay clean a long-long time. I only clean mine about once every other month. Just use alcohol and a (soft) wire brush to clean the screens that come with the PAX (they pop out easily). They say they’re “disposable,” but that’s not even close to true. I am still using my original 4 or 5 screens that came with my PAX Plus unit.
Hard to Smoke Weeds After Exclusively Vaping with PAX Plus
I have to be honest here when I tell you that after you have experienced the quality of vaping just the resin from your flowers with the PAX, for a day or more, you will find actually smoking “sucks.” Vaping it like this is on a different level of pure goodness.
The flavors will blow your mind. It will be like how your weeds taste smoking them, only way better, with a lot more honey oil flavoring in there. It’s crazy delicious and like I said above, smoking a doobie or something after using the PAX Plus for a short time, it will remind you of smoking rope. For real.
Afterword
Get a small soft wire brush, and some 90%+ alcohol and clean the PAX screens, they last forever. There are 4 power settings on the PAX. I start at 2, and at the very end I do the last couple hits on either 3 or 4. Another beautiful thing about this vaporizer is that you can even make really shitty weed into a delicious experience. Even like the old Mexican 10 dollar ounces (4-fingers) would be delicious. I shit you not. If you had like mites or mildew infesting your weeds—vape it. Only the resin vaporizes.
That’s why a quality vape like the PAX Plus is really needed. Cheaper vapes always suck in my experience. Try the REAL experience and I think you’ll be wicked impressed like me.
