Purple Hindu Kush x Afghani 1 is a broad leaf indica dominant variety with an 8–9-week flower time and medium heavy yields. Created as a collaboration between John Bayes, aka Green Bodhi, and Mike Kagyu1 coastal seed company. This is a combination of old-school heirloom varieties that really pack a punch.

When it comes to old-school herbs, I’m definitely a fan. It’s always an enjoyable experience when you have a chance to smoke expertly cultivated organic cannabis by none other than my friend Green Bodhi. Upon first opening the jar with the PHK x Afghani, you could see the bright white resin from an abundance of trichomes highlighted by bright green and the violet-streaked calyx of the flower. With notes of tropical tangerine and cherry with an earthen Kush musk, the nose is sure to grab your attention.

The flavor is similar to the terpene profile, with notes of sweet fruit cherry, citrus, and Kush. Of course, no herb review is complete without mentioning the effect, which, in my opinion, is the best part! There is definitely something about old-school genetics that gets me lifted. In the case of the PHK x Afghani, it’s extremely cerebral and heady, the kind of weed that gets you stoned to the bone. It’s not recommended for lightweights, and if you do consume this, you will most likely forget where you put your wallet and keys! The effect later changes from cerebral and heady to relaxed and sleepy! You might need a nap! I think overall, Mike and John knocked it out of the park with this variety! In fact, I liked it so much that I popped a few packs of seeds.
